I created the logo and high-tech brand identity for the TechBio Summit, an in-person event held at the iconic Saint Joseph's Arts Society in San Francisco.
The logo is set in custom futuristic lettering and formats well in a stacked or single-line variation. In the stacked layout, the E and B connect, creating a conjoined thread. A subtle animation further reiterates the reference to a DNA strand and computer circuitry.
This project is ongoing, and will be refreshed periodically.
Through the process of defining the brand, I presented several different logo and graphic directions for the event, several of them inspired by the venue itself. Below is a snapshot of several discarded directions.
A peek into the future of technology and healthcare
The logo is supported by a pulsating, abstracted protein which is intended to create an enigmatic response. The letterforms 'TECHBIO' are elongated and shuffled to allude to a computer circuit board, dynamically lighting up with ideas.
The dark color palette was chosen specifically to contrast playfully against the light stonework in the event venue, a converted church.
For the website, I designed an unconventional, modular layout intended to create a unique impression on visitors. This features rounded connecting shapes which create windows through which the cosmic scene can be viewed.
